Emrick is about 26 inches long and weighs about 17 lbs, 13 oz. He uses furniture to pull himself up, and he has sprouted the thin, top edge of his first tooth. These are some pics we took of Pookie last night, after a haircut and a bath. The outfit is new.
A couple of months ago, we moved our office into the “bonus room”. The bonus room is bigger, enabling us both to use the same office. And moving it also freed up the old office — which is cute but small — to be used as a playroom for Emrick. It’s close to the family room and kitchen, and it has French doors, so that even if I can’t be in the room, I can see him through the glass. My goal was to make it a room such that the only thing in it, and within Emrick’s reach, is stuff that he can safely play with. I don’t plan to leave him there unattended for long periods, of course, but it’s nice to have a place where I can leave him for a couple of minutes if I need to go to the kitchen, or start the laundry. A 100% baby-safe room was my goal. Of course, that was before he learned to pull himself up on furniture, so who knows if 100% baby-safe is even possible. But still, the room allows him to exercise and explore safely, by confining him, but not too much. Anyway, yesterday I finally got all of the clutter out of there, so that the room is now all Emrick’s. Last night, we took him in there to poke around.
Happy 8 Months, Pookie. We love you!
P.S. Slow down!

Cutie patootie! Some of those pics he definitely looked like Marcus. Get ready for gates and leashes. That boy is on the move!
IMG_4035 is my favorite! It actually hurts to not be able to touch him! How does the middle of June work for you?
I agree with Cinda. Image 4035 is absolutely cherubic. Happy 8 month birthday to our Pookie.
Shona, I was pursuing the Perfection that is my darling diagonal pookie and my heart broke on the 10th picture down. You see, the Prince of Pookieness and I have a special connection. That face was due to his lack of diagonal-aunt Kelly time. I know that you and Marcus must have recognized this as well and consoled him by telling him that his aunt Kelly loves him (as is evidenced in the following three pictures). Please kiss him and kiss him and kiss him for me and squish him and tell him how much I love and obsess over him! Thank you for the pictures now bring that baby to Florida!!!

Kelly,
Here in Utah we have several guest bedrooms, lots of outdoor recreation opportunities, and staggering natural beauty.
And diagonal relatives are always welcome 🙂

Mom, the middle of June is fine, I think. I’ll submit your request to Pookie for approval 😉
