Onward To Vegas

Wednesday was our longest drive on the trip. We went from San Simeon to Barstow, then up I-15 to Vegas.  We left at 10:30 AM or so and got to the hotel around 7:30 PM.  On our way out of town we stopped once more at the Pacific Ocean to take some photos, and then headed off on the long twisty highways to Barstow.  We stopped for lunch and gas in Tehachapi and later took a short rest stop in Baker, where they have the world’s tallest thermometer, which read 109 degrees at the time. Once we got to Vegas we immediately checked in at The Venetian, grabbed a quick sandwich, and relaxed the rest of the evening.

It looks like you guys are having a great time! As I am sitting here reading your blogs and looking at pictures, I am reflecting on the wedding (and Marcus’ song), the very little time I have spent with Marcus (but in such short time thinking highly of him), and it occurs to me…Marcus, you’re one fine catch! You make the men of MY past look awful. Actually, they make themselves look awful…you make them look worse! LOL.

In all seriousness, you are both pretty great people, and together I know you are an amazing pair! I know Shona has had a lot of love just building and waiting to share with someone and it thrills me to no end she chose to share it with Marcus.

Enjoy the rest of your trip and continue safely home. And remember, always keep your house neat and clean…..you never know when someon might pop-in!

    Love,

    Samantha
