We have short Spring Breaks out here in Utah — the Thursday and Friday before Easter, and the Monday after. Three days. I guess this is because in the fall we get a two-day “Fall Break”, something we never had in California (or Florida, or Ohio). So it all evens out. Nevertheless, it’s going to feel really… unjust… having to go back to school this Tuesday. With such a short break, you have to hope that at the very least, the days will be filled with sunshine and springy-ness. And this year, such weather seemed worth hoping for, since we had several days in March that were 60 and sunny. But Thursday morning, April first, the first day of my break, this is what I saw out the back door:

So stuck inside, I decided to go through some old pictures that need organizing. I found this picture from Easter Past. I know it’s an Easter pic because Sam and I are wearing frilly white dresses, and there is an inordinate amount of donuts set up in the church parish house.
That’s me on the left, looking at… Chris? Sam? And that’s Chris on the right, rocking the plaid vest. In the middle is Samantha, who appears to be saying a prayer over the Krispy Kremes. Can you blame her? We should give thanks for Krispy Kremes every day.
Happy Easter.

Such a cute little girl! Now we can see what the future little Sorensen’s will look like…Can’t wait!
I am certain I was thinking, “How can I walk out of here with a few boxes of donuts, and not be seen”.
That box seems to have magically levitated toward you.

Hehe, it does kind of look like she’s using telekinetic powers to slowly inch the box in her direction. Good work, Sam.
