Back in February, my mom and dad came to visit for a few days. As usual, I didn’t think to take any pictures until my parents were about to leave! So shortly before their departure, which was on Valentine’s Day, I sat Emrick and his grandparents on the living room sofa and made them stay there until I could get the perfect shot. Hat tip to Dad.
As one would expect when there is a toddler in the mix, getting everyone to look at the camera at the same time was no easy feat. At first, Mom was the only one to be “on”:
After a few more shots, we finally got Mom and Dad both looking at the camera. Cheese!:
All right, so Emrick wouldn’t look at the camera even when everyone else was. He’s still a toddler after all, and he was just too enthralled with his grandparents Grandpa’s Blackberry. That’s okay, though, because in some of my favorite pictures here, NOBODY is on their game! Have a look:
Believe it or not, I omitted the most unflattering pictures there :p
But then something amazing happened. Perfection came. And it came when we stopped trying to get everyone looking at the camera. See for yourself:
So, so sweet.
