We got the kitchen baby-proofed in October, much to Emrick's disappointment.

Emrick has been fascinated by this electric drill ever since these pics were taken. Marcus is even going to get him his own drill (a toy one, of course!) for Christmas.
In this pic, it's hard to tell if Emrick is touching the drill because he thinks it's neat, or if he is trying to push it away from his precious cabinets!
"D'oh! You broke the door, Dad! It won't open more than an inch now!"
During the child-proofing process, Emrick wanders over to the trash cans, which are kept behind a gate because he likes to push them around and dump garbage all over the floor. Fun times. Maybe we should get him his own trash can full of baby garbage for Christmas, too????

"Now let me get a gander at that drill, how 'bout?"
"No cabinet access? No drill-handling? This is the saddest day ever..."

Poor emrick. I think in addition to baby garbage and a drill, you should get him his own REAL kitchen with empty cabinets to play with. How much do you love him?!
