This is what happens when Mommy and Emrick fight for control of an oatmeal-loaded spoon.
It was after I wiped down his shirt and high chair that I noticed this meteor-sized glob on his forehead. I think he stuck it there on purpose to make me laugh… ’cause I certainly was not amused by his shenanigans before then!

Adorable!! Just wait until he starts feeding himself other things besides watermelon rinds!!
I don’t know Shona — it kind of looks to me like you got mad and flung that oatmeal at him! I warned you that one day you WOULD get mad at him. But as long as you confine yourself to oatmeal slinging it will be okay (messy, but okay).
When Ed an Nick were approx 4 and 2 I discovered flung peas along my base board and on the side of my china cabinet. Let the food fight begin.
Reminds me of Gorbachev. It’s perched there so neatly.

I didn’t fling the oatmeal at him, but I HAVE gotten mad at him! Like the other day when I KNOW he was tired, but he refused to nap, and kept standing up in his crib and crying. I would go in every few minutes, lay him back down, say something soothing, and walk away, only to have him stand up and cry again the moment I left the room. He kept it up for almost an hour. I didn’t fling anything at him then, I just cursed him under my breath. Or maybe it was out loud…
