We went from San Simeon to Barstow, then up I-15 to Vegas.\u00a0 We left at 10:30 AM or so and got to the hotel around 7:30 PM.\u00a0 On our way out of town we stopped once more at the Pacific Ocean to take some photos, and then headed off on the long twisty highways to Barstow.\u00a0 We stopped for lunch and gas in Tehachapi and later took a short rest stop in Baker, where they have the world&#8217;s tallest thermometer, which read 109 degrees at the time. Once we got to Vegas we immediately checked in at The Venetian, grabbed a quick sandwich, and relaxed the rest of the evening.<br \/>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-1
