Today Emrick turned one year old. It has been a very fast year, but a very, very long (and rough for Pookie) day. I’ll share those details in later posts. For now, here is a simple look back at the past year with our amazing and sweet Pookie Bear.<\/p>\n

Still in the hospital, and starting to show definite signs of Pookiness.<\/p><\/div>\n

This is Emrick a couple of hours after we brought him home Sunday, September 19, 2010. He was jaundiced and had skinny legs and spiky hair!<\/p><\/div>\n

And now, I introduce to you, weighing in at 20.5 pounds and measuring 27.5 inches… the one-year-old Emrick Braden Sorensen aka The Duke of Pook!<\/p>\n

Isn’t he beautiful? Unreal, even? I think so, too!<\/p>\n

And, even though he looks annoyed in the picture below, I am including it because it shows his full, cute outfit:<\/p>\n

Pookie is still so little!<\/p><\/div>\n

In the next few days there will be lots more pictures and details posted. You’ll see Pookie opening his presents, eating cake, etc. We also had some professional shots taken of him on Thursday, and were sent home with them on CD an hour later. Some of them turned out pretty cute. So, tune in for all.<\/p>\n
