About a month and a half ago, we gave Emrick his second haircut. We didn’t take as much time with it as we had with the first one. In fact, all we did was trim the edges, just to get the hair out of his eyes and off of his ears. But we knew he’d be due for something more thorough before too much longer. So last night we put him in the high chair, and Marcus took his clippers to Emrick’s head. As you can see from the look on Emrick’s face — which remained virtually unchanged<\/em>\u00a0— he did NOT enjoy the experience. In fact, I had to hold his arms down because he kept trying to fight off his clipper-wielding father. Once his arms were down, he settled into resentful, but peaceful, submission.<\/p>\n

Get that buzzing piece of machinery away from my head!<\/p><\/div>\n

I'm going to get you back for this, Mom. Mark my words!<\/p><\/div>\n

When it was all over, we made it up to him by letting him play with my comb...<\/p><\/div>\n

...and gnaw on it, too. <\/p><\/div>\n

There's our smilin' baby!<\/p><\/div>\n
